For zillennials, those of us born in that awkward generational valley roughly between 1992 and 2002, those movies had a very specific flavor. The candy-colored, high-femme aesthetics of flicks like Jawbreaker reigned supreme, but baby goth looks and cargo pants were also in, giving fledgeling butches and the soon-to-be-emo hope for the future.
